What this site collects, what it deliberately does not, and how the language redirect works. Last updated 31 October 2026.
The short version
This is an independent information site about the Bandizip archiver. There is no account, no newsletter, no payment and no tracking profile.
Server logs
When a page is requested, the server records the usual entries: URL, referrer, truncated IP address, browser and device type, and timestamp. These are used to fix broken links and to see which guides are actually read.
Language detection
On your first visit, the page asks a public IP geolocation service for your country so it can offer the matching language edition. Only the country code is requested; no profile is stored on our side. Your choice is saved in your own browser's local storage, and you can change it any time from the language menu. Blocking the request simply leaves you on the English page.
Cookies and third parties
Fonts and icons are served from a public content network, which receives requests for those files. External links to app stores and to Bandisoft open sites governed by their own policies.
Your choices
A content blocker will stop the geolocation request and the font files; the site still works. To have a support email deleted, write to hello@bandziip.com and it will be removed within 30 days.
Children
This site is aimed at general readers and is not directed at children under 13.
